And there was me thinking that Olly's "other life" was as the promoter of a successful stand-up comedy club! Well, it is... but in his other, "other life", he is an accomplished journalist who has worked for The Sunday Times and CNN.

Previous to landing the top job at the British Horse Society, Oliver was Head of News at the Catholic Bishops Conference of England and Wales, where his work took him to Rome, Jerusalem, and Bethlehem. He implemented their communications strategy and took a leading role in crisis management (and boy have those guys had some crisises to deal with recently!!)

Before working with the Bishops, Olly spent 17 years as a journalist and had reporting, writing or editing roles at the Sunday Telegraph, Express Newspapers, CNN, the Coventry Evening Telegraph and the Hull Daily Mail. He's also spent time as London correspondent of US News and World Report and has worked as a writer for Time magazine.
